The BBO project has received a significant amount of funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. The Department for Work and Pensions is the Managing Authority for the England European Social Fund programme. Established by the European Union, the European Social Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations.  For more information visit https://www.gov.uk/europeangrowth-funding.

Get Berkshire Active are using aspects of physical activity to not only improve mental & physical health, but develop leadership, confidence, teamwork & communication skills to increase employment opportunities and promote a positive outlook for local people.

Building Family Bridges aims to engage:  

1. Parents or children involved in crime or anti-social behaviour.

2. Children who have not been attending school regularly.

3. Children who need help: children of all ages, who need help, are identified as in need or are subject to a Child Protection Plan.

4. Adults out of work or at risk of financial exclusion or young people at risk of worklessness.

5. Families affected by domestic violence and abuse.

6. Parents or children with a range of health problems.
