Chance to Shine is a national charity that aims to give all children the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We believe that cricket can help to develop the personal, social and physical skills of the 600,000 children that we work with every year.
Building on our existing Schools Portal, which provides free resources for teachers of all ages from KS1 to 4, currently accessed by over 15,000 teachers across the UK, we will specifically be promoting our brand new content:
Primary Schools
- Virtual Cricket Programme (7 x pre-recorded Play sessions, including a 'cricket taster' and an Intra-competition session called 'Confident Cricketer')
- Guidance on a safe return to delivery of cricket in schools, including suggested programme content (https://www.chancetoshine.org/returning-to-cricket-delivery-in-schools) https://www.chancetoshine.org/returning-to-cricket-delivery-in-schools
Secondary Schools
- 'Be the Spark' Virtual Leadership Programme – 2 brand new interactive virtual courses for pupils aged 11-16, to develop their confidence, creativity, resilience and adaptability.
All programme content is available to be accessed through our Schools Portal - https://teachers.chancetoshine.org/ https://teachers.chancetoshine.org/s/login/?language=en_GB&startURL=%2Fs%2F&ec=302
Through this portal, teachers can register their interest for receiving free cricket coaching within their school during the sign-up process, with requests dealt with by the local County Cricket Board (Chance to Shine's Delivery Partners)
