The network theme will be "How do we encourage more Young People in Berkshire to live active lives now and in the future" and will provide an opportunity to hear from experts in the field as well as national and local examples of good practice.

We are pleased to announce one of our guest speakers will be Matt Pearce, Head of Public Health & Wellbeing at West Berkshire Council, who will present a public health take on physical inactivity – "Move More and Sit Less".

Having worked in public health for over 15 years Matt has accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise in population health and behaviour change. He originally graduated in Sport and Physical Education from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Development and a Master's in Public Health. He is currently undertaking a PhD at Cardiff University researching the impact of the family/home environment on childhood obesity
