Active Medicine Programme - National Workshop - Tuesday 1 November 2022
Following on from successful delivery of Active MedicineTM in the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire (BOB) region, several Active Partnerships have expressed an interest in learning more about this programme, specifically the delivery of physical activity awareness sessions to health and social care workforces.
The Active MedicineTM programme started out as a collaborative learning and innovation project, funded for two years (Sep 19-Sep 21) by Sport England, and delivered in partnership by Get Berkshire Active, Active Oxfordshire, and Leap. The pilot and evaluation phase focused mainly on upskilling workforces with the knowledge, skills and confidence to promote physical activity, but have since evolved to encapsulate three elements: education, resources, and support.
During this workshop, attendees will be given an overview of the Active MedicineTM programme; experience delivery of the 'Helping people become more active' workshop; and take part in a discussion to facilitate local implementation and share learnings. We'll also be joined by OHID's Physical Activity team who will provide an update and outline of the evaluation results of the Moving Healthcare Professionals Programme (MHPP) including the Physical Activity Clinical Champions, Moving Medicine, and e-learning modules.
Active Partnerships are invited to this free online event on Tuesday 1st November, 11:00-13:30.
Please book below to reserve a space (tickets are restricted to two per organisation).
Further details will follow nearer the date.
