About Together Fund
Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire has been provided with £150,000 Together Funding (formerly 'Tackling Inequalities Funding'), from Sport England and The National Lottery, to help reduce the negative impact of COVID-19 and the widening of the inequalities in sport, physical activity and exercise.
Data collected through the Sport England commissioned Physical Activity Attitudes and Behaviours Survey during the lockdown is highlighting widening gaps in activity levels across existing priority audiences, in particular the following groups:
- Lower Socio-Economic Groups (LSEG)
- Black, Asian Minority Ethnic Communities (BAME)
- Disabled People
- People with Long-Term Health Conditions
The additional funding provided by Herefordshire Council and Worcestershire County Council (£105,000 and £50,000 respectively) will extend Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire's work to tackle inequalities by supporting local communities to become and remain active following the pandemic.
Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire is keen to work with organisations which can support and encourage priority audiences to become more active, utilising the together fund (previously known as TIF). Upon consultation, our team will assess your eligibility, understand your needs and capture your project's impact for at least one of the 4 audiences.
