GBA Tackling Inequalities Fund
One of our specific priorities in this round of Tackling Inequalities Funding is to help local community sports clubs who are struggling financially or facing
hardship as a result of the pandemic. Learn more about the criteria here.
Kits for Kids funding
The
Poundland Foundation is looking to support local sports clubs or organisations looking to support their teams with kit of equipment up to a cost of £750.
Tesco Community Grants
Up to £1,500 of Tesco funding is available to support good causes that focus on supporting children and families, including, breakfast and holiday clubs, activities
to support mental health, activities or equipment to reduce social isolation, equipment/kit for sports teams, services or equipment to support health issues such as
cancer or dementia and equipment for village/community halls.

Sport England have teamed up with Youth Sport Trust to develop and launch a new Activity Hub. The Active Recovery Hub, which has been funded by the National
Lottery, provides schools, local authorities, and families with easy access to free resources that'll help children reach 60 minutes of physical activity a day.
Small Grants Fund 2021/22
Reading Borough Council's £100k Small Grants Fund 2021/22 is available for voluntary and community groups to apply for funding for community-led activities that
tackle poverty and support mental well-being.
The Small Grants fund is aimed at activities that increase people's skills, confidence, and independence; help build relationships and self-help. This could be
through:

Social activities
|
•
|
Food growing, cooking
|
•
|
Learning or training activities
|
•

Mentoring/coaching

Activities that bring different age groups or cultures together

Individual organisations can apply for up to a £5k grant and 2 or more organisations applying in partnership can apply for up to £10k. The deadline for grant

Clubs in Crisis

Sport, the #ClubsInCrisis fund aims to support grassroots sports clubs and organisations in need with grants up to £2021. Now open to clubs in Berkshire for a

Start-up/re-start grants for community groups
Reading Borough Council has also allocated £50k of its CEV (Clinically Extremely Vulnerable) funding from the Government for Start-up/re-start grants to help
community group meetings or activities get going again after lockdown to help people regain community connections where they may have already undergone lengthy
periods of self-isolation, or who may be required to self-isolate in future and may be at risk of loneliness and social isolation. This includes people who may have
been identified as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable.
Organisations can apply for up to £1,000 per group being started/restarted (organisations may apply for more than one grant if they propose to run more than one

Let's Get Active Fund
West Berkshire Council have partnered with Greenham Trust to offer the Let's Get Active Fund 2021/22 (LGAF). The £33,660 pot is available for not-for-profit
organisations.
LGAF will prioritise activities that will support those who have been hardest impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. For example: older people, people with disabilities,
people with long-term health conditions, people from diverse ethnic communities, people on lower incomes and children of families on lower incomes, and people
experiencing a greater burden of care due to COVID-19.
