Lockdown prevented the team's trip to compete at the European Cheerleading Championships in Paris in March. To recover from this heartbreak, cheerleading switched to Zoom.
Over 80 hours of training enabled 70 girls to maintain their fitness and mental wellbeing. A routine filmed in the gym before lockdown was scored by a panel of judges against teams from all over the world including USA, Canada and Norway. Kick Twist won their category and were awarded the title "2020 Virtual National Champions".
