Since March, Me2Club has supported 65 five to 19-year-olds over 270 times. These children have wide ranging additional needs and disabilities including Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Down's syndrome. The team of experienced and committed Activities and Volunteers Coordinators supported by some dedicated volunteers rapidly created weekly online activities.
The varied programme included arts, crafts and games as well as sport, delivered in partnership with local providers. These helped children connect with friends and continue to develop crucial skills for life, whilst providing valuable respite for parents and carers. Children with complex needs or lacking technology were sent craft and sensory activity packs.
"Me2 Club has … brightened up my life during these troubling times … I've really enjoyed the last 2 sessions, particularly the workout one, and I'm looking forward to future sessions too!"
"It was lovely to see such a huge smile on his face and doing what any 8-year-old should be doing, just having fun with no worries about what else is going on."
