Seated Exercise

Seated exercise classes are designed to help improve strength and balance, from the comfort of a chair.

An Overview of Seated Exercise

Seated exercise classes focus on aiding the muscles used in everyday activity and is performed at a pace that suits participants. Chair-based exercise can be done at home or in small groups and is easy to fit in to your daily routine.

Research has shown that many of the exercises can help to strengthen muscles and bone. Stronger muscles make every day activities such as washing, dressing, shopping or doing house work easier and less of a strain. You are less likely to injure your self doing everyday activities, stronger muscles help to improve balance and walking. There are exercises included that will help to improve your circulation which in turn will help to lessen cramp and help to keep you warmer.
