In just three months, 50 Good Gym volunteers safely undertook 75 activities helping 27 charities. Irrespective of weather conditions, and time of day or night, their efforts benefitted hundreds of members of the local community, young and old.
Projects included food delivery, helping vulnerable adults with chores, leaflet drops, sorting clothes for babies and homeless people, marshalling drive through flu vaccinations, sorting hospice shop donations, painting walls, weeding flower beds, picking up litter, raising funds, tidying allotments for the elderly, befriending, and much, much more! The group is led by Amy Lovell, a local mum of four young children. With the support of her husband James, Amy widened access to physical activity whilst motivating others to help those in greatest need.
