Spurcroft Primary School used the Virtual School Games resources to promote physical activity to children, parents and teachers.
The home learning website and weekly newsletter encouraged parents to keep active. Extra PE sessions encouraged children work collaboratively. Findings from a whole school survey prompted the purchase of equipment for families to use at home. Weekly check-in phone calls engaged families in receipt of pupil premium.
Weekly wellbeing assemblies (via Zoom for pupils at home) focused on looking after mental health. Led by pupils, weekly classes share strategies for managing feelings. Active playground games were played in lunchtime bubbles.
