During lockdown the PE Team at Theale Green School used social media to encourage students, parents, and staff to be active, creating 'can-do' confidence and boosting morale. Using rolled up socks as a ball and a washing basket for a "hoop," plus many more innovative ideas, ensured everyone could take part.
Nearly 400 followers enjoyed a steady stream of fun via the #thealegreenpe Instagram account. Remote fixtures with another school brought togetherness and competitive spirit. Star of the Week for each key stage provided inspiration.
Sky Sports chose the school to promote National Schools' Sports Week. The whole school community took part and was showcased on national television.
