Sport England's Active Lives Children & Young People Survey carried out nationally throughout the school year by schools asks children between 5 and 16 about how much physical activity they take part in, both in and out of school. As well as measuring physical activity levels there are also measures for wellbeing, attitudes towards sport and physical activity and volunteering.
Findings are used to shape future policy and investment in school sport.
